The original crab house restaurant was first opened in an industrial area in Kepong in the year 1999 as a road side stall. Business was booming and within the first month of its operation, there were an obvious and notable sign of repeat customers returning and repeating its order of crab dishes ¨C especially the creamy butter crab. Words started to spread like wild fire and not before long, the number of new customers were growing.

Seeing the opportunity and the inclination of the taste bud of the customer, we then introduced 24 types of crab dishes initially and it became very famous in and around Kepong & Klang Valley. Because of the 24 flavours, we were nicknamed ˇ°Ya Sei Meiˇ± in Cantonese which is the name for a kind of Chinese herbal tea.

Today, De Foodland Seafood Restaurant is renowned for its crab dishes both on the local scene and on the international front. Our customer profile consists of not only people from Kepong but people from around Klang Valley, and other states. We even have overseas patrons such as Singapore, Taiwan, Korea, Hong Kong, China, Japan, Australia, Europe etc.

To accommodate such growth, we have also shifted to our new premises in Bandar Menjalara in the year 2002. Currently occupying 2 shoplots, the dining area consist of both air-conditioning & non air-conditioning section with a total seating capacity of 500 people at one time.

Cleanliness is always our top priority. The great effort in managing and maintaining cleanliness and hygiene had won us a ˇ°Category Aˇ± certificate from the Authority.

The success of De Foodland is largely through word of mouth of our loyal and faithful customers. In appreciate of their good support we pledge to continue providing quality and delicious food.
